Leadership Lab

Are you ready to uplevel your leadership approach so your team operates with maximum independence and you get more time back in your week?
I’m opening a small cohort
for 6 leaders in mid-June.
This is for leaders who don’t want to rely on someone else to fix their team — and want to know how to actually build a high performance team.
Most teams don't struggle because of talent. They struggle because...
-
Priorities aren’t consistently held
-
Expectations aren’t landing as clearly as they seem
-
Leaders are carrying more than they should
Over time, that creates problems.
The result is slower execution, cleaning up other people's messes, and more time spent managing people than leading, which means your team only works as well as your availability.
If you've ever thought...
“We’ve already talked about this…”.
“Why do I have to keep following up on this?”
“I’m too in the weeds just to keep things moving”.
"I wish they would just do their jobs right the first time".
...you're not alone.
I've been in your shoes.
I eventually understood what actually causes these problems and how to fix it through your leadership and how your team operates day to day.
This is where we work together.
I work with leaders to improve how their teams actually operate so performance becomes more consistent and less dependent on them.
Early in my leadership career, I inherited teams that weren’t operating the way they needed to. I wasn’t able to lead and implement my vision, let alone get day-to-day work done to a level that resembled excellence. Executive coaches guided me to delegate more so I could focus on what mattered, but I knew the team wouldn’t respond well to “here’s more work” or “just do your job better...please”. That’s when I learned how to empower teams to operate at their highest capacity, and I went on to help other leaders and teams do the same.
My background spans organizational systems, leadership development, and large-scale operational improvement within complex environments. Across that work, I’ve helped teams move from high effort to high performance by changing how priorities, expectations, and accountability are held.
The Leadership Lab is a direct extension of that work - applied with you and your team in real time.
Tara Giambrone, PhD, MPH

Inside the Leadership Lab
I’ll teach you exactly how I build high-performing teams—and you’ll apply it in real time with your own team. Not just theory. No hypotheticals. We're jumping in. You’ll take what we cover and use it immediately in your conversations, in how you set expectations, and in how your team operates week-to-week.
What You'll Learn (and actually apply right away)
-
How to spot what’s actually slowing your team down—and fix it without adding more process
-
How to create consistency in performance so things don’t depend on you stepping in—and don’t fall apart when you step back
-
How to set expectations and priorities in a way that actually sticks, instead of repeating yourself and following up
-
How to communicate in a way that gets your team to take ownership instead of waiting on you
This is the same approach I use when working directly with leadership teams inside organizations. It’s just applied with you, in real time, with your team.
What Changes (when you put in the work)
-
Your team takes ownership, and execution becomes more consistent.
-
Work feels more focused and less reactive.
-
You’re able to step back from day-to-day operations without things slipping.
-
For most leaders, this shows up as getting back 5-10 hours each week and having a team that moves work forward without your constant involvement.
This is where the the “dream team” actually comes in. Not from hiring differently, but from leading differently.
Results From This Work
This isn’t theoretical. This is the same work I’ve led inside complex organizations where the expectation is measurable improvement in how teams operate and perform. Across that work, I’ve helped enable teams:

Impact
“Tara has a unique ability to see how workplaces could be better and how people could achieve more. She took what was, to an outside observer, a successful office and helped us identify what was missing and build it.”
-- Deputy Director
How It Works
June–August 2026
1 × 60-min small group session per month
2 × 30-min 1:1 sessions per month
Ongoing access via private channel for real-time support and weekly implementation challenges
This is a working environment. You bring real situations and we work through them.
Every month in our group session, we focus one part of the leadership strategy. To solidify your learning, there is a weekly challenge for you implement what you've learned and apply it directly with your team. These challlenges build on each other so you (and your team) are not overwhelmed with too much all at once. The 1:1s are there so we can personalize the process, set goals, and provide additional support and accountability.
This is how we catalyze theory and knowledge into new behaviors.
-
Implemented 140+ operational improvements within 8 months.
-
Reduced customer service response times from 2 days to 10 minutes and resolution times from 5 days to 2 hours.
Impact
“Tara quickly identifies what’s actually causing issues and brings a level of clarity that makes it easy to take action. Her ability to improve both how teams operate and how people experience their work is rare.”
-- Program Chief
Who is this for?
Leaders who don’t need more theory, are ready to change how they lead in order to change how their team performs, want their team to operate at a higher level without requiring more of them, and are willing to do the work in real time with their team.
This is not for leaders looking for quick fixes or surface-level advice.
This is not your standard leadership development activity.
It is an intensive designed to change how you lead and how your team operates in a way you can confidently replicate long after this ends.
Most leaders wait until this becomes a bigger problem and then have to pay someone to come in and fix it. Usually with white papers, facilitated trainings, and team building. And you may see some improvements for a few months before things slip back to the way they were.
But this doesn't have to be you.
You can learn how to create the same sustainable changes I help teams create for yourself. This is the same work I do with leadership teams inside organizations - I'm just empowering you to do it for yourself.
-
Increased innovation by 60% and productivity by 40%.
-
Expanded system usage across organizations by over 400%.
Impact
"Tara is one of the most innovative thinkers and best problem solvers I have known.”
